is dedicated to teaching and research in the following subjects:
Anatomy
Developmental Biology
Tissue and Cell Biology
Epigenetics and RNA Biology
Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Wolfgang J. Weninger
In teaching, we train the next generation of doctors and researchers to successfully prepare them for the challenges of modern and research-oriented medicine.
The main research areas of the center include the functional morphology of human systems, development of imaging processes, developmental, tissue and cell biology, epigenetics and RNA biology, and the genetics of rare diseases.
Human material and modern biomedical model systems are used to study normal and abnormal mechanisms of development and remodeling at sub-cellular, cellular, tissue, organ and organismic levels.
