Center for Anatomy and Cell Biology
Competences
- Micro- & macro-anatomy
- Developmental morphology
- Microscopy & imaging
- Cell & RNA biology
Teaching
The Centre is tasked with science-oriented teaching of embryology, cell biology, and micro- (histological) and macroscopic anatomy. In hands-on dissection and microscopy classes, students of human medicine and dentistry are prepared for their clinical and scientific careers.
Science & Research
The Centre commits to substantially advance science and research in all its core competences. Employing traditional and cutting-edge multiscale imaging and -omics techniques on cells, tissues and organs of humans and biomedical models, it advances research in the fields of descriptive & functional micro- & macromorphology, normal and pathologic pre- and postnatal development & tissue remodelling and multiscale imaging.
