Electron Microscopy Archive – A Unique Treasure of Knowledge

The archive of our electron microscopy group offers a comprehensive insight into decades of scientific research. It contains approximately 100,000 embedded samples, image negatives, and handwritten protocol books, representing a valuable documentation of ultrastructural studies.

This unique collection not only enables the tracing of historical research results but also provides a foundation for current projects and retrospective analyses. The embedded samples cover a wide range of biological and medical topics and serve as an essential resource for the re-evaluation and further development of ultrastructural techniques.

Our goal is to preserve this valuable collection and work toward its long-term digitization, making it more accessible to scientists and supporting research with modern analytical methods.
