Emina received her B.Sc. degree in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Economics, and her M.Sc. degree in Phytomedicine from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria.

Nasim studied at the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Iran, where she obtained a diploma degree in Pharmacy at the Department of Pharmaceutics in 2013. She continued her studies in pharmacy at the University of Vienna from 2018-2021. In 2021 she joined the Department of Cell- and Developmental Biology at the Center for Anatomy and Cell Biology as a Ph.D. candidate. Her Ph.D. thesis work (Structure-Function Investigation of Specific tsRNAs) is funded by the FWF (SFB F80: RNA-DECO 'Decorating RNA for a Purpose' and P35489: 'Biochemical dissection of tRNA fragment biogenesis').

Livia studied Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna, where she also obtained her M.Sc. degree in Biological Chemistry. In 2024, she joined the Department of Cell- and Developmental Biology at the Center for Anatomy and Cell Biology as a Ph.D. candidate. Her Ph.D. thesis project is entitled: Modified small RNAs as DAMPs & Their Impact on Innate Immune Responses. The project is part of the FWF-funded SFB F80 'RNA Deco' (Decorating RNA for a Purpose).

Uliana received her B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Vienna, and her Diploma Engineer (Dipl. Ing.) degree in Biotechnology and Bioanalytics from the Technical University of Vienna. Her Ph.D. project is addressing the interaction of specific metabolic enzymes with tRNA fragments, and the detection and quantification of specific tRNA fragmens in bodily fluids. Her Ph.D. is part of the Doc.fund program: RNA@core, which is funded by the FWF.
